What the proposal says (plain words)

From DCWP's Notice of Public Hearing, "Rules Relating to Junk Fees", proposed new rule 6 RCNY § 5-16 (published July 2026).

Already in force (separate rules, not covered by this check): NYC's hotel junk-fee rule (effective Feb 21, 2026) and click-to-cancel rule (effective Oct 1, 2026); the FTC's federal fee rule for live-event tickets and short-term lodging (effective May 12, 2025).

1. What do you mainly sell to NYC customers?
2. Do you ever show a price (menu, sign, website, app, ad or quote) and then add a fee the customer can't skip?
3. Which of these do you add? (tick all that apply)
4. Do you charge a monthly (or other repeating) price?
5. Do you have a written note of what each fee pays for and how you set its amount?

Would an NYC All-In Price Kit be worth $29 to you?

We're deciding whether to build the Pricebare NYC All-In Price Kit ($29, one time): fill-in wording for menus, signs, price lists and checkout pages that shows the total price first; a fee list sheet to record what each fee is for (the records part); a before-you-pay breakdown template; and one email when the city adopts, changes or drops the rule. It is a set of templates, not legal advice and not a compliance guarantee.

Pre-order it free, or just get the alert. No charge today; we only ask for an email. If enough people sign up, we finish the kit and email you a payment link, and you can say no then. If we don't build it, we tell you and delete your email. You can also choose "just tell me when the rule is final".
